The Format of Bead Style Magazine is written so that even the beginning beader can understand. Each design gives thorough instructions with pictures to follow and a list of all the products that you'll need and even tells you where to purchase the items that might be hard to find. The designs are very trendy. In the back they have several pages that have a step by step guide of the basics in beading for the beginner or maybe you need to brush up on a technique.

I started working with beads as a Hobby a few years ago, and soon I ran out of ideas, and my ambition wasn't far behind. I received Bead Style Magazine as a gift from someone special, and within days I was hooked again. I now have a subscription to Bead Style, and the biggest problem I have today, is picking out which pattern or project I'm going to use to express myself. Bead Style is full of helpful designs, projects, and consumer information that help to make my personal experience working with beads delightful. Since receiving Bead Style my work with beads has become another passion, and I no longer have to look anywhere else to find solutions, and answers to anything concerning Beads. Bead Style magazine is great. It has new projects to do every month with step by step directions. One of the features I like about the magazine is the Bead directory in the back. I found 4 new bead stores in my area as well as lots of ads for online bead stores as well. For a beginner beader I really enjoyed this magazine. Also Projects are for all levels of beaders.

Bead Style Magazine is what got me hooked on beading! Each month the magazine features projects that are suitable for beginners with clear instructions and material lists. The best part is that the projects are simple but look like they took an expert. I have used their patterns and designs for my own jewelry, as well as for wedding jewelry sets for bridesmaids and gifts for friends. I got started beading earrings when I wanted to give my friends nicer presents than I had the money to spend. I would see earrings and think, "That looks easy." So, for years I subscribed to the sister publication "Bead and Button" but they had a lot of artsy stuff plus techniques on bead-making. NOT what I wanted. Then this new magazine (it's going into its second year now) came out. I was a charter member and it is so great.
It's like that Bead Style Magazine understand that you don't want to make beads or have an art exhibit. You want something fast, easy, quick, and stylish.
Every issue has a page for a beginner that explains all the technical lingo and tricks on how to do things (I like to save them and give them to friends who are starting to bead).
The other feature which I think is worth the price of the subscription, even if you have no intentions whatsoever to bead, is a fashion forecast. They forecast a season ahead what the colors and styles are going to be (and they are what they say). It's very handy if you are a sewer (as I am) or fashion klutz (which I also am).
This magazine is aimed at people who have starter to intermediate level beading skills and who don't a lot of time but want a lot of style.
The projects are all affordable.

I love Bead Style Magazine! Each issue is filled with wonderful unique ideas. I can't wait until I receive the next issue. As soon as I get it I look at it from front to back and then I go back and mark everything I want to make. It is easy to follow directions and patterns. Bead Style, though a new publication, is published by Kalmbach Publishing. They also publish Bead and Button and Art Jewelry. The niche that Bead Style holds is for the beginner and intermediate beader. There are stringing projects as well as fun things like ornaments and rings. If you don't find a project to do there are always good ideas for color combos and mixtures of materials. Lots of variety in each issue.
